Lei Yang
Lei Yang is the Vice President of Engineering at Twitter. Formerly, she worked as the Vice President of Engineering at Quora. Lei Yang is a top expert in the fields of ranking, personalization, and recommendation. ​

With over a decade of hands-on experience in machine learning, Lei Yang has built and led teams
in the areas of ranking, personalization, content recommendation, and fraud detection. She is
passionate about building, motivating, and scaling high-performance teams to deliver results in a
fast-moving environment.

Prior to Quora and Twitter, she worked at Google, where she actively engaged with the Google
Research Award program and was the Google liaison for many university research programs. She
holds a Ph.D. degree from Northwestern University in Computer Engineering.
