Eric Xing

Professor Eric Xing is the President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and a Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He is also the pioneering Founder and Chief Scientist of Petuum Inc., a 2018 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer for developing a standardized AI platform and operating system dedicated to industrial applications. With over 20 years at the forefront of AI and machine learning research, Professor Xing's extensive work focuses on creating machine learning and statistical methodologies, as well as large-scale computational systems that enable automated learning, reasoning, and decision-making in artificial, biological, and social systems. Professor Xing serves as an ambassador to educate and train those in the emerging field of AI and its real-world applications.
